By utilizing series production fittings no modifications are necessary to install a TEIN Type FLEX Damper. Included in the suspension kit is a comprehensive manual detailing installation procedures for each model of vehicle.

All dampers fit directly into the original upper mount. However, we offer an upgrade upper mount kit which replaces the rubber bush with a pillow ball (spherical bearing).

TEIN reduced friction noises and improved damping precision by reducing the clearance of the rod guide to be half that of the convential products.

All Type Flex Dampers use special guide rings at the guide bush to make the damping control even more precise. By using 35mm pistons for strut applications only and a twin tube design, this improves durability with the addition of greater damping precision and a larger oil capacity.

TEINs newly formulated oil provides consistent damping control in both low and high temperature applications. The lower spring seats, seat locks, and upper spring seats are die - casted aluminum for high strength and low weight.
